The Park’s New Festival to begin in Delhi on Saturday

New Delhi: In a treat for the music, art and book lovers in the national capital, the ninth edition of "The Park's New Festival" will begin here on Saturday.

Organized by The Park Hotels and curated by Prakriti Foundation, a Chennai-based foundation which aims at enlarging the cultural engagements, the five-day festival would witness fusion dance, theatrical comedy, a book launche and more.

"This festival is a torch bearer of the performance arts festivals in India. We will continue to showcase exciting new work in the field of art, and convene forums for artists in mutually beneficial projects," said festival curator Ranvir Shah.

The festival, which has traveled across five cities of Chennai, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Kolkata, Mumbai since Sep 20, will see Delhi as its last leg.

The line up includes a fusion dance by Akram Khan and Israel Galván who bring together Kathak and Flamenco, theatrical comedy by actor and director Rupesh Tillu, and the launch of the book "Until the Lions" by author Karthika Nair and others.
