Security forces bust guerrilla hideout in J&K

Jammu: A joint operation by army and police unearthed a guerrilla hideout and hauled a cache of arms and ammunition from Jammu and Kashmir's Poonch district on Friday.

"A joint army and police team led by Deputy Superintendent of Police (operations) Sheezan Bhat under supervision of Senior Superintendent of Police JS Johar busted a militant hideout and recovered huge amount of arms and ammunition from it in Poonch," a senior police officer told reporters.

The recoveries include an AK-47 rifle, 10 AK magazines, AK ammunition, three Pakistan-made pistols, five pistol magazines, 370 Pika rifle rounds, two under barrel grenade launchers (UBGLs), two UBGL rounds, two Chinese grenades, five IEDs, 500 grams of explosive material, a wireless set and other warlike stores, he added.
