New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday said he would inaugurate Ambedkar Bhavan in London during his visit to Britain next month.

"I will be making a trip to Britain a day after Diwali (November 11). I am looking forward to my trip to Britain. I'll inaugurate the Ambedkar Bhavan in London, which is now Indian government's property," he said during his monthly radio programme 'Man Ki Baat'.

"Britain's Ambedkar Bhawan is a source of inspiration for us all," he added.

"A few weeks ago, I went to Mumbai to inaugurate a memorial close to Babasaheb Ambedkar's Chaitya Bhoomi. This was where Babasaheb achieved new heights in his life and became an inspiration for others," he added.

He also mentioned that the central and state governments today provide scholarships to students from Dalit, tribal and backward communities for studying abroad and encourage youngsters from Dalit community.

"The government of India also encourages talented girls and boys from Dalit communities," he said.
