New Delhi: In a bizarre incident, a three-year-old toddler from Islamabad in Nawaz Sharif ruled Pakistan was booked in a land grab case on Saturday.

Reportedly, an FIR was filed against the three-year-old child for land grabbing of a plaza and for stealing property from inside the plaza.

The infant's family approached the court to get an anticipatory bail. Upon looking at the matter, the judicial bench expressed its displeasure over the Islamabad police's actions.

The court demanded to know from the child's legal counsel if seeking the bail was even warranted. The counsel in his plea informed the court that since the child was named in the FIR, it was obvious that the bail was sought apprehending arrest.

The court has summoned the Station House Officer and the investigation officer on January 7 next year to explain their position.

The incident points out the gaping loopholes in the Pakistani administration. Though Pakistan claims to be a democratic nation, but such incidents indicated the autocratic nature of the country's administration.

Earlier reports of a nine-months-old child charged with murder drew flak from all quarters of the globe. The family had to go into hiding fearing harassment by the Pakistani law and order forces.

The anarchy-ravaged country, where blasts are frequent, needs to buckle up and look into such matters so that they do not bring more shame to the government.(Inputs from agencies) (Picture courtesy: blogspot.com)
