Kolkata: With the approaching assembly elections, BJP has reframed its party policies by introducing new faces for the top posts to bring itself to a credible position.

"We have revamped the organization last month with an eye on 2016 assembly polls. We have chalked out a plan to achieve our goal. The people are with us and it was proved in recent law violation programmes across the state", stated BJP West Bengal unit president Dilip Ghosh, who presumed the post last month.

Within weeks of coming back, Mr Ghosh, also an RSS pracharak, removed many office bearers and many district presidents also.

According to the party officials, Mr Ghosh has full support from RSS.

Politician Rupa Ganguly, a former actress, who has been reported to have a strained relationship with the former president of BJP Rahul Sinha, was made the chief of women's wing of the state.

Several former bureaucrats who joined BJP before 2014, seem to have got not berth for the upcoming elections. Although Mr Tiwari maintains his position as the secretary, Mr Roy is made the new secretary.

After the 2014 Lok Sabha Elections, BJP seems to have lost its little popularity in west Bengal that it had gained. Lack of leadership and its alleged understanding with the ruling Trinamool Congress, being some of the major reasons.(Inputs from agencies)
