Amid Cash Crunch, Nasik comes with a Solution! Use Swipe Machines to Pay Traffic fine

November 30, 2016: To deal with the cash crunch after the demonetization Nashik traffic police have begun to collect fine through swipe machines.

According to PTI, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Vijay Patil said, " The move has been initiated by the police department in association with State Bank of India, which has provided the PoS (point of sale) or swipe machines for the purpose."

The official said, initially, the 12 busiest junctions across the city have been provided with the swipe machines, which include MG Road, Nashik Road railway station, Dwarka square, Old Centre bus station. More areas would be included in the coming days.

Since Monday, the traffic cops have already started using swipe machines for the convenience of commuters.
