President to lay foundation stone for Dr B R Ambedkar School of Economics in Bengaluru

New Delhi, April 13, 2017: On Friday, President Pranab Mukherjee will lay the foundation stone for the Dr B R Ambedkar School of Economics at Bengaluru.

The President is scheduled to be in Ahmednagar, Maharasthra on April 15 after visiting Karnataka. There the President's Standard Award will be given away to the Armoured Corps Centre and School, an official statement mentioned, mentioned PTI.

In the first phase of the construction of the building, an amount of rs. 150 crore has been approved by the state government. According to reports, the proposed institution is modelled on the London School of Economics.

The institution will include the main administrative block, three seminar halls, residential accommodation for regular faculty, hostel for students and auditorium.

The school is scheduled to commence from the academic year 2017-18.
