“Forever” : Disney’s 10 Classic Villains Immortalized on US Postal Stamps

Anaheim (California) July 17, 2017: The Ink and Paint Department of the Walt Disney Studio, was commended by the US Postal Service, honoring the legacy of the department. The US Postal Service dedicated a sheet filled with 20 "Forever" stamps that featured 10 classic villains of Disney, Press Trust of India has reported. According to the reports, the announcement was made by the postmaster general- Megan J Brennan, at the D23 Expo. Other Disney officials joined him in the event.

"The Postal Service is highlighting the Disney villains and the pioneering spirit of the Ink and Paint Department that brought many of these characters to life. These Forever stamps are our way of saying Disney villains will forever entertain us and serve as a tribute Disney's artistry and storytelling skill," Brennan was quoted as saying.

Reportedly, each stamp portrays one of the ten classic villains of Disney and those pictures are set against a beautiful blue background.

Press Trust of India reports that Honest John from Pinocchio, The Queen from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, the Queen of Hearts from Alice in Wonderland, Lady Tremaine of Cinderella, and Captain Hook of Peter Pan, Ursula of The Little Mermaid, Gaston from Beauty and the Beast and Scar from The Lion King are the villains who have been featured on the stamps.

Customers have two months for obtaining the recently launched postmark via mail, Press Trust of India has reported.
