Jagmohan Singh Dhiman alias Jagjit Singh, a man who revived the Indian classical art form of Ghazal. He choose poetry which connected with the masses. Also known as the 'Ghazal King', he was awared Padma Bhushan by the Indian Government in 2003. The Government of India has also released a stamp in his honour.
Regarded as the most successful ghazal singer and composer with both critical acclaim and commercial success, with the career of five decades and having 90 albums, he was a genre defining artist.
