People in her hometown of Los Angeles remember actress Meghan Markle as a charitable young girl who sparkled on stage. Next week the entire world will be watching Markle as she officially ties the knot to England's most eligible bachelor. VOA Correspondent Mariama Diallo reports.

The wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle is due to take place on 19 May 2018 at Windsor Castle in England. The groom, Prince Harry of Wales, is a member of the British royal family; the bride, Meghan Markle, is an American actress.
