Here is how seven-phase polls to five states will pan out

With 690 seats up for grabs, the Assembly elections in five states — Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Uttarakhand, Goa, and Manipur — will be fought in seven stages from February 10 to March 7. The results of the election will be announced on March 10.

Elections in Uttar Pradesh will be held on February 10, 14, 20, 23, and March 3 and 7, with Punjab, Goa, and Uttarakhand voting on February 14, and Manipur voting in two stages on February 27 and March 3, according to Chief Election Commissioner Sushil Chandra.

The dates for notice in Uttar Pradesh are January 14, 21, 25, 27, and February 1, 4, and 10 for the seven stages, respectively. Nominations for the corresponding stages must be submitted by January 21, 28, and February 1, 3, 8, 11, and 17.
It is a single-day election in Uttarakhand, Punjab, and Goa, and a two-phased election in Manipur.

The notice for Uttarakhand will be announced on January 21, and nominations will be accepted till January 28. The notice for Punjab will be posted on January 21, and nominations will be accepted till January 28. The notification for Goa will be released on January 21, and nominations will be accepted till January 28.

The dates for issuing notifications for the two phases in Manipur are February 1 and 4, respectively, while the deadlines for filing nominations are February 8 and 11.
