Shazia, a techie herself, had returned from work after completing her night shift at around 7:30 am. She was an employee at a leading technology company, IBM. After finding their room locked from the inside, she became worried and contacted security personnel and her neighbours for help.

When the door was forced open, they found Kunta unresponsive in the room. According to the police, he was depressed after losing his job. The incident was reported from the Kothanur locality in Bengaluru, Karnataka.
