Amidst BJP's efforts to defend Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje in the Lalit Modi controversy, another stone thrown by Lalit Modi has created ripples.

A very active member of the microblogging site, Lalit Modi took to twitter to publicize his alleged 'meeting with Gandhis' in London.

He tweeted:

BJP seized this opportunity to question Congress over the incident.

According to a national daily, BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra said, "We want to ask questions as to why the Gandhi family was constantly in touch with Lalit Modi. As to why yesterday also they were meeting Lalit Modi. It's thus obvious that none other than Sonia Gandhi can bring this to forefront."

Responding to the whole issue, Congress leader Randeep Surjewala said, "If you see an individual in a restaurant full of people, it is neither a crime nor it is morally wrong."

He added, "Neither Priyanka Gandhi nor Robert Vadra has ever interacted socially with Lalit Modi."
