Hema Malini’s speeding Mercedes crashes into Alto, kills child

A child was crushed to death by Hema Malini's Mercedes in Rajasthan today. The unfortunate incident occurred when the MP's car collided into a Maruti Alto, near Jaipur.

Although four people who were travelling in the Alto have been hospitalized, Hema Malini escaped the accident with minor injuries.

"I am being told the Mercedes was speeding. It drove over the divider," said senior police officer Rajinder Tyagi to news agency ANI.

The accident took place this evening in Dausa, about 60 km from the state capital of Jaipur. The MP from Mathura was headed towards Jaipur.

Malini was treated for minor injuries and a few stitches near her nose in a Jaipur hospital.
