Kolkata: A delegation of National Commission for Women (NCW) led by its chairperson Lalitha Kumaramangalam will visit Mograhat in West Bengal's South 24 Parganas district on Monday where a minor was allegedly abducted a few months ago, a BJP leader said.

"A delegation of the National Commission (NCW) for Women led by Kumaramangalam will visit Mograhat on Monday," state BJP's media convener Krishanu Mitra said.

Family members of the 14-year-old Tutuki Mandal have alleged that she had been kidnapped twice and accused the local police of inaction.

A three-member delegation of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) visited Mondal's residence in Mograhat's Enayatpur village during the day and spoke to neighbours and relatives including an uncle.

The delegation comprised of BJP MPs M. J. Akbar, Arjun Ram Meghwal and Saroj Pandey. They said they will submit a report to party president Amit Shah on the visit.B

The delegation noted that the people are living in a "reign of terror" and "intimidation" in the area while police is not taking action, said Mitra.

Blaming the Mamata Banerjee-led state government, the delegation said they would continue protesting if the state government did not rescue her.

The state BJP leadership including president Rahul Sinha have initiated a sit-in- demonstration since Thursday at Moghrahat demanding immediate rescue of the girl. (IANS)
