17 killed in Afghanistan chopper crash

Kabul: At least 17 people were killed when an Afghan army helicopter crashed in Afghanistan's Zabul province on Thursday, an official said.

"An army chopper crashed in Zabul province today (Thursday), leaving 17 people, including five crew and 12 soldiers, dead," Xinhua quoted General Abdul Razeq Shirzai, commander of the air force unit in the southern region, as saying.
