New Delhi: Environment Minister Prakash Javadekar said on Tuesday that the government would come out with a new ranking system based on the performance of NGOs working in the field of environment, an official statement said.

"The government will bring out a new performance-based rating of NGOs working in the field of environment to encourage them," he said after releasing the 10th edition of the directory of 'Environmental NGOs in India – 2015' here.

Javadekar also called for a need to add new features for the next edition of the directory to make it even more useful, comprehensive and user-friendly, it added.
