Speaker asks for decent behavior from all MPs during winter session

New Delhi: Ahead of the winter session of parliament, Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan wrote a letter to all MPs, urging them to "behave decently".

In every aspect of life, we expect decent and sober behavior from each other…,

In the letter, the speaker requested for all MPs support in maintaining a decent atmosphere in Lok Sabha.

As the speaker, can I expect from all of you that this highest symbol of democracy – Lok Sabha – which is also the temple of democracy, all of us will behave according to the accepted decency, so that the prestige and uprightness of parliament remains intact,

The letter was written in Hindi.

"Can I expect cooperation from you in this endeavor?" she asked.

This year, the winter session of parliament is going to begin from November 26.
