Thiruvantpuram: Kerala Sunni leader Kanthapuram A P Aboobacker Musliar described the concept of gender equality un-Islamic.

He did not stop just there, but he also added that women can never equal men and they are just fit only to deliver children.

The Chief of All India Sunni Jammiyathul Ulama said that women have no mental strength and the power to control the universe which only men possess.

He said that gender equality is never going to be a reality. This concept itself is against Islam, humanity and intellectually wrong.

According to Musliar women cannot withstand the crisis situation. He wondered if there was even a single woman cardiac surgeon.

Musliar was also in controversy for his remarks against women reservation previously. He had said that a 50 per cent reservation for women in civic polls was too high.

Musliar also dismissed the allegations of sexual exploitation happening in Madarsaas. He said anyone accusing, bring the evidence and prove it.

Kerala has the highest literacy rate in India, obviously he must not be having much of support for his remarks in his own state but this shows that there are people who are still living in the dark ages.

It is important that these people are not followed and the coming generation is given right education and values that they do not end up being like this.

Women always have been equal to men in terms of ability, output and every other aspect of life. The only difference is that in today's world it is more understood than the world of 100 years ago but such people are desperate to take humanity back in time.
