New Delhi: BJP chief Amit shah in his recent comments, exclaimed that BJP has given top posts to the leaders from backward classes and also accused the Congress of working against the interest of OBCs.

Recently he was addressing delegates from the newly constituted OBC Morcha of the party. The delegates have come here for the Morcha meet from 19 different states. The purpose of this meet as stated by Amit shah was to ensure constitutional rights to the OBCs without causing any social disharmony.

Mr. Shah said "We alone had the courage to choose a person from a poor, backward family for the prime minister's post. Today he is making India proud globally."

Regarding the Mandal commission, Mr. Shah said "It was constituted by the Janta government, of which we were a part. Its recommendations were also accepted not by a congress government but by the Jan Morcha, which we had supported".

Mr. Shah said the main aim of this OBC Morcha was to ensure the rights to OBC sans caste conflict and also to reach out to the most backward castes among the OBCs.
