Sept 18, 2016: After PM Narendra Modi's mention of the war-torn Pakistani province, Balochistan's plight in his Independence Day speech, a sudden upsurge of rational and irrational reactions has taken place all around the world.
The Baloch Republican Students Organization (BRSO)'s branch in Germany, held a protest here at Berlin with the intent to showcase Pakistan's barbarity and ruthlessness on Baloch civilians across Balochistan.
The protesters were raising slogans of 'Baloch wants freedom', 'Pakistan Murdabad', 'Thankyou Modi' and 'We want freedom'.
BRSO spokesperson said to India Today, "Post (Indian) Prime Minister Narendra Modi's remarks on genocide in Balochistan, Pakistan has stepped up its operation there. In the last 10 days, they have killed around 90 people, but no one is raising voice against it or reporting it. They are forcibly shutting down our book shops where people go to read our literature and are raiding houses and kidnapping the family members of our activists."
He also said that for now, neither the Pakistani media nor the international human rights organisations are taking up these violations seriously.

"The aim of this protest is to highlight the atrocities and call upon international attention to pressurise Pakistan to respect international human rights laws," he added.
According to India Today reports, the spokesperson further said that the United States providing military aid and support to Pakistanis further strengthening Islamabad's confidence.
"Even after so many of our people have died, the United States is providing strategic and military support to Pakistan, which it uses for conducting genocide against its own people," he added.

"We request Prime Minister Modi to form a committee that could represent the issue of Balochistan the United Nations and want to thank him and the Indian media for highlighting the issue," said BRSO spokesperson.
The protests in Berlin were also aimed at drawing world's attention towards the Baloch issues as the activists said that ignorance by the UN and World is also leading to worse situations at Balochistan.
Pakistan is violating the peace and human rights violations by torturing the Baloch civilians as no international organisation is willing to take a stand against it.
The Pakistani Army has also been alleged of the forceful evacuation of people from their traditional homesteads and farmlands in several areas of Gilgit-Baltistan and Balochistan so as to make the land available for the CPEC.
