Actress Julia Roberts to make her Debut in small screen with adaptation of Maria Semple’s novel “Today Will Be Different”

Los Angeles, Dec 16, 2016: Having given so many successes on big screen, actress Julia Roberts is all set to play the lead role in a small-screen adaptation of Maria Semple's novel "Today Will Be Different".

Entertainment Weekly revealed that along with her role Roberts will also produce the limited series, which marks the first project announced under Annapurna Pictures' new TV initiative.

Along with Annapurna's Megan Ellison and Sue Naegle, Semple will write the adaptation and also serve as an executive producer. The network is not yet on board, mentioned PTI.

"Today Will Be Different" chronicles the story of Eleanor Flood, who had ambitions to wake up and have the best day of her life, but is forced to abandon those plans when she finds a strange, new future unfolding.

Expressing her enthusiasm Semple said "I'm giddy that Eleanor Flood will be brought to life by Julia Roberts and am elated to collaborate with Megan Ellison, Sue Naegle and the team at Annapurna on this endeavor. This will be a fun ride,".
