Amritsar, Jan 26, 2017: Former Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) member Dr Munish Kumar Raizada, who is spearheading the ongoing Chanda Bandh Satyagraha against the lack of transparency in the party, especially in financial matters, received a rousing welcome in poll-bound Punjab. People, mostly AAP supporters, came out in hordes to show solidarity with the cause espoused by Dr Raizada.

Through the Chanda Bandh Satyagraha or the No List No Donation campaign, Dr Raizada wants the party leadership to come clean on the sources of its donations. "We want the party to mention details of all the donations received by it and put it in public domain on the website. Once that is done, donations can be searched by name (and not only via receipt number) on the party website. The missing Balance Sheets after 2014 should be made public, and CM Arvind Kejriwal should fulfil his poll promise to the people of Delhi by ordering an inquiry to probe the dubious donations of Rs 2 Crore that the party had received in 2014."

After refusing to divulge details of the donations received by the party, the party has now resorted to petty measures. "The ongoing No List No Donation campaign has rattled Kejriwal and the top leadership, whom I might as well call the Chanda Chor Gang. They have got our Chanda Bandh Satyagraha (No List No Donation) Twitter handle ( www.twitter.com/nolistnodonation) as well as NewsGram (@newsgram1) accounts suspended," said Dr Raizada, adding, "It shows their mala fide intention. Instead of addressing the issue of financial transparency in AAP, they chose to show their moral bankruptcy to the world."

He claimed that the party has lost the moral high ground that it had against corruption, and it may weigh down its prospects in the coming Assembly election.
