It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Shri Ramesh Gupta, the revered Founder President of the Bharatiya Liberal Party (BLP), who left for his heavenly abode on 18 July 2025.
Shri Ramesh Gupta dedicated his life to the noble cause of steering India towards progress and prosperity. A visionary leader and an NRI businessman who spent several decades in Dallas, USA, he returned to his motherland in 2008 with an unwavering commitment to democratic reforms and social upliftment.
Disillusioned with the outcome of India against corruption and subsequent political party fiasco, Shri Ramesh decided to launch a political party aimed at progressive ideas of development and modern practices of governance. That led to the formation of Bharatiya Liberal Party (BLP) in 2019, a political movement aimed at fostering good governance and eliminating corruption from the Indian political landscape. He was the founder president of BLP.
Beyond his political endeavours, Ramesh Gupta was also a passionate advocate for eradicating the drug menace in India, tirelessly working to safeguard the youth and society from its devastating effects. His life was a testament to his activism and dedication to creating a just and progressive India.
After a period of illness, Shri Gupta breathed his last, leaving behind a legacy of courage and reform.
Dr. Munish Kumar Raizada, the current President of BLP, and General Secretary Akbar Khan Rana have expressed their deep condolences. "A humble tribute to the respected Ramesh Gupta ji. He had been ill for some time. He founded the Bharatiya Liberal Party (BLP) and continued to raise his voice for reforms in Indian politics until his last moment. We will all remain committed to carrying forward his mission." said President Raizada.
Shri Ramesh Gupta’s contributions will forever be remembered, and his vision will continue to inspire the Bharatiya Liberal Party and its members. May his soul find eternal peace, and may his family and loved ones find strength in this hour of grief.
Om Shanti Om.
