COCKROACH JANATA PARTY (CJP) visited a government school in Jaipur, Rajasthan on August 21, 2026. A mob certainly changed the course of their visit and started pelting the team. The confrontation took place as the CJP delegation, along with party co-founder Ashutosh Ranka went to the Bagru Assembly constituency. The incident happened in Rampura Kanwarpura village, and it triggered the conflicting accounts.

CJP leaders pointed towards BJP’s involvement while a local BJP MLA cited resistance from the residents themselves. The videos of the attack have surfaced online, which has brought the noise of this political row around the state of Rajasthan’s government schools.

Video Shows The CJP Team Being Confronted and Abused While They Enter The Village

The footage of the confrontation surfaced online and it shows how the CJP team were abused and attacked as they tried to enter the village. Slogans like “Anti-Nationals,” “Urban Naxals,” and “Pakistanis” were called by the locals. Activists were beaten up by several men, forcing them to retreat without entering the school that they had come to inspect. 

The details were revealed by Ranka after he said that the team was openly assaulted and pelted with stones the moment they arrived, from smashing car windows to tearing up of clothes. A female member was assaulted and another volunteer suffered a broken hand, they further claimed that the people were affiliated with the BJP who began the violence. ANI was on the scene, a CJP volunteer named Sanju told them that the team visited the same school a year ago and found it operating out of a buffalo shed, and that on this visit the “goons” of BJP allegedly hit them with sticks, pushed them and pelted stones, that led to his broken hand.

Abhijeet Dipke, CJP founder took this issue to the social media to criticize the police response. Rajasthan Police got accused of standing still while the violent incident unfolded. He questioned why authorities seemed untroubled by schools, functioning out of animal shelters but objected to CJP’s presence. The school’s main building looked to be unsafe and shut down, and the classes commenced in a cattle shelter nearby. Ranka alleged that a local BJP councillor was seen disturbing cash to those involved in the fight, though these claims remain unverified.

Funds Already Sanctioned Claimed By The Locals, Ranka Demands Arrest

BJP denies their involvement in orchestrating the attack. Local BJP MLA Swami Balmukundacharya was informed that residents themselves opposed the CJP team’s visit. The members of CJP were blocked from entering the village, he even argued that the villagers did not want any disturbances created by outsiders that could disrupt children’s education. According to the locals, the funds were already sanctioned for repairing the school building and that the matter could be resolved without any outside intervention. CJP was accused of trying to gain a political image from the issue. 

The incident created a broader controversy over recent directives issued by Rajasthan’s Education Minister, Madan Dilawar, concerning state government schools, and also the demand of the arrests by Ranka within 48 hours along with the withdrawal of the ministry’s order. Despite the violence, Ranka insisted the party not be intimidated and gave assurance to fix the school’s condition.
